Foundation Foundation Foundation!!!!

I have been curvy all my life and growing up my mother expressed o me how important it is to wear the proper shaper/foundation on. A shaper can make or break an outfit. The first step to finding the proper shaper is to find out what size to buy. If you buy is to big then it will not give you the effect you want and if you get a size to small it might roll or create humps and bumps in all the wrong places. There are many different kinds of shapers remember to find one that will smooth you and hold you in.Here are a few of my favorites:

You're Booty-Ful™ high waist seamless brief

And for maxium hold I wear the waist cincher with another shaper on top to hide the bones/wire that might show through your clothing.

Be sure to get the shaper in the color that matches your skin for example if you have a light skin tone be sure to get nude or flesh colored shapers.

Model Moday!!! Running your own business.

When I first started modeling I had done alot of research on different websites such as plusmodelmagazine.com ,dailyvenusdiva.com, and also plusmodels.com to see exactly how I could get started in this venture into the plus modeling industry. The best advice that was given to me was that think of being a model as running your own business. So I went to the drawing board and researched what part of the industry will I most benefit from.I noticed that I fit into print and fit modeling. I also saw that the photos that I had been taking were not what the agencies are looking for, in most of my photos I had too much make up on and were a little too glamorous. I saved money and did a portfolio session with the amazing Michelle Alexandra. We combined our ideas and came up with a story board of all the looks that we were going to do on the shoot.
The first look fresh little to no make up.

From experience I think it is very important to have professional photos done. Having professional photos done is like presenting a very good business plan in front of an investor. Also always remember make sure you practice in front of the camera test and do some tf work for local photographers but remember every picture that was taken does not need to end up on your comp card or portfolio, quality over quantity.Keep it simple!
